The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)

This is a quick review of the film which I definitely wanted to add to my “must see” list when I first saw the preview for it. So I finally got a chance to watch it today and it was a pretty good film that kept you trying to figure out how Mick (played by Matthew McConaughey) was going to get himself out of the sticky issue between his client Louis (Ryan Phillippe). For those asking why the movie is named the Lincoln Lawyer is due to Mick (McConaughey) being driven around by Earl (played by Laurence Mason from Hackers), and conducting his lawyer duties in a Lincoln Town Car.

This movie definitely gives us a new insight into the world of defense lawyers, and how there is always one case that makes them rethink about defending the usually guilty individuals in a court of law. The last defense lawyer based movie that comes to mind that which I enjoyed as much as this one was The Devil’s Advocate. There are some other known actors in the film as well (John Leguizamo, Marisa Tomei, and William H. Macy to name a few).

All in all the movie will keep you viewing and entertained, especially if you want to watch a movie but not sure what to watch. I don’t really want to add to much info on what happens so not to spoil it for anyone, so just pop it in and enjoy.
